When most players think of college recruiting, their minds jump to summer showcases and big tournament weekends. While summer is packed with action, fall might just be the most overlooked, and valuable, season for gaining exposure. At Schaumburg Seminoles, we encourage our athletes to use fall ball as a strategic opportunity to stand out to college coaches who are actively building their recruiting boards.

Here’s why fall is such a critical time for players looking to compete at the next level:

1. Coaches Are Actively Evaluating Talent

Once their college seasons wrap up in late spring, coaches shift their focus to scouting and recruiting. By fall, they’ve reviewed summer stats and are looking for athletes who kept grinding past the summer circuit. Fall events, especially regional showcases and tournaments, allow coaches to see who’s still developing and taking the process seriously.
